The official X account for Ford Motor Company called Israel a 'terrorist state' on Monday during an apparent hacking incident. The X posts, which have since been deleted, were all made Monday afternoon. Three separate posts read ' Israel is a terrorist state,' 'ALL EYES ON GAZA' and 'Free Palestine,' according to a screenshot shared via X Monday evening, Rep. Torres captioned the screenshot, ' Ford Motor Company must have been hacked by the Free Palestine movement.
' Ford said its account was 'briefly compromised' and the three posts were not 'authorized or posted' by the company. 'They do not represent the views of Ford Motor Company,' the statement read. 'Ford and X are investigating this breach.' Some X users expressed frustration with Ford's response. Rabbi Samuel Stern, who co-chairs the Kansas State Holocaust Commemoration, told the company in a reply its statement was 'not an apology.' 'Incredibly weak statement,' Brianna Wu, the executive director of the Rebellion PAC, added. 'Denounce antisemitism. Apologize to the Jewish community. Promise consequences for the people responsible.' Ford's headquarters is located in Dearborn, Mich.
