For second-ranked UH, Reggie Chaney is Mr. Adaptable

Assistant coach Kellen Sampson says Chaney can fit in any situation. “It doesn’t matter what our other pieces are, Reggie fits.” With UH off to a 14-1 start — the second-ranked Cougars host SMU at 6 p.m. Thursday — Chaney has settled into his role off the bench. The Cougars’ roster features star guards Marcus Sasser, Jamal Shead and Tramon Mark. Freshman forward Jarace Walker is a potential NBA lottery pick. Ja’Vier Francis, a 6-8 sophomore big man, is a star in the making.
