West Essex defeated the Cougars in a 14-7 final in the sectional semifinals last season. Cranford wiped out the Knights on that same stage in 35-7 fashion in 2014. On Saturday, it’s fifth-seeded Linden traveling to fourth-seeded Morris Knolls for a 1 p.m. kickoff in the North 1, Group 4 quarterfinals. Morris Knolls has won four of its last five while the Tigers are coming off a rare tie in Week 8.
