The arms and legs of Tommy Popoff led the Dragons to a dominant season-opening win over EHT
Popoff and receiver Benny Liles III helped the Dragons put the game out of reach early by linking up on a trio of touchdowns in the opening quarter. The longest of Poppff’s scoring throws was a 70-yarder hauled in by Liles. Kyle Nordone also got in the action by grabbing a 15-yard touchdown pass from Popoff in the second quarter. Popoff added on a short rushing touchdown in the fourth quarter.
Neumann Rojas contributed to the big win with a 28-yard rushing touchdown. Zack Burlingame went 6-for-6 in PATs and connected on a 35-yard field goal to help Kingsway close the second half with a 38-0 lead. The Dragons will host Williamstown next Friday, while the Eagles will look for a better result in its home opener against Holy Spirit.
