Prosecutors in the trial of Hunter Biden released a video of Hallie Biden throwing his gun in a grocery store garbage can.
On Thursday, Hallie Biden testified that she “panicked” after finding a gun in her brother-in-law’s truck and sought to dispose of it after fearing that Hunter Biden would use it to “hurt himself.” She disposed of it by throwing it away in a grocery store’s garbage can and could not find it after returning upon Hunter Biden’s instructions.
Hunter Biden is being charged with lying on a federal form about his drug use in order to purchase a gun, which he illegally possessed for 11 days before authorities found it in the grocery store. He has defended himself by arguing that there is no evidence that he was on drugs at the time of purchasing the gun. Text messages between Hunter and Hallie Biden showed them referencing drugs two days after he bought the gun.Hallie Biden is the widow of President Joe Biden’s other son, Beau, who died in 2015. She and Hunter Biden began a relationship soon after.
