Celebrating its 28th year, this highly anticipated event showcases over 20 of Austin 's top restaurants, including favorites like Eberly, Emma and Rye, and Laurel. Attendees are treated to an incredible array of dishes, all crafted by renowned chefs eager to support a worthy cause.

The "Food for Thought" gala is much more than just an event; it represents a powerful promise made by the community to the students of Central Texas. With over 600 community members attending, the gala serves as a testament to the belief that adults in the community care about the younger generation's success. It is a celebration of the collaborative spirit that exists among local chefs, businesses, and educators, all committed to making a difference in students' lives.

As attendees savor the culinary delights, they also participate in a larger narrative of hope and opportunity. The impact of CIS is profound, reaching over 64,000 students across 104 campuses in the region. By fostering trust and building strong relationships with nearly nine school districts over the past 40 years, CIS has become one of the most accessible nonprofit organizations in Central Texas.

Tickets are available for purchase at $250 each. Each ticket includes access to gourmet bites from some of Austin’s hottest restaurants, beer and wine, and prime mezzanine seating during the event! Tickets can be purchased atAll proceeds will provide students with mental health and counseling services, basic needs resources, enrichment opportunities, post-secondary guidance and more! The event begins at 6 p.m.
