The organiser of the Northamptonshire event, in its 15th year, says it makes a difference locally.
Organiser Rachel Mallows said the finalists at the awards appreciated the recognitionLocal businesses and producers were recognised at Northampton's Derngate Theatre
Ms Mallows said the awards "arose out of some research looking at where the sector was going" in Northamptonshire.
