The Alaska Permanent Fund Board of Trustees said Wednesday that no external IT system breach occurred after emails were leaked discussing claims of a fellow trustee’s concerning behavior.

The emails were published on the website, Alaska Landmine. Owner Jeff Landfield declined to say how he obtained the emails, which he shared with Alaska’s News Source. In a statement attributed to Rubenstein, the trustee vice chair said she considered connecting Permanent Fund staff to investment firms an appropriate role as a Trustee, calling it “common practice.”
During the public part of the special meeting, trustee Craig Richards expressed concern that some staff members might feel pressured by trustees to make specific investment decisions.
