The U of S Huskies have a busy weekend coming up, both on and off campus.

The campus sports weekend includes balls of varying shapes and sizes, but you won’t find many pucks bouncing around.

Saskatchewan’s only loss of the current campaign was a 26-22 setback against Alberta on Sept. 15 at Griffiths Stadium — an outcome that snapped the Huskies’ 19-game home win streak. Saskatchewan is second in the eight-team Prairie Division behind 9-2-1 MacEwan, and ahead of both weekend opponents — Manitoba is 4-8, and Winnipeg 0-8-4.The first-ever Huskie Howler pre-season tournament happens this weekend. On Friday, the women host Manitoba at 2:30 p.m. and Alberta at 7 p.m. They’ll play the same teams on Saturday: Manitoba at 3 p.m. and Alberta at 5 p.m.

The Huskies won two of three matches at a pre-Thanksgiving tournament in Brandon, and will host Brandon in their season and home opener next weekend.
