KUALA LUMPUR: Stop asking for positions, contracts or titles and focus on rebuilding Umno instead, says Datuk Seri Mohamad Hasan.
The Umno deputy president said instead of demanding handouts, members should focus on rebuilding the party and ensuring its continuity.
He said that a plan to groom future Umno leaders was important so that they could be given training and exposure. "Another quality of an Umno leader should be one who can withstand tests, yet remain loyal and patient," he added. Mohamad also proposed that Umno drafts a modern and progressive blueprint on the Malay agenda and convince Malays that the party has clear plans for them.
