South Africa has one of the lowest mental health scores in the world. Liberty Promenade invites children to participate in kite-making workshops from 1 to 10 July to raise awareness of mental health in the youth.

As the winter winds blow their way through the chilly skies of the Western Cape, it’s the perfect time to enjoy making, decorating, and flying kites at the popular kite workshop returning to theA recent study showed that South Africa has one of the lowest mental health scores in the world and that mental health and well-being have worsened during the recent pandemic.

Making kites is also a fun and healthy family activity that encourages creativity and expression. Children of all ages are invited to decorate their own kites using paints and various other craft materials provided.The cost is R10 per child.If you need even more enticement, participants stand in line to win one of 1o R250 gift cards by posting a photo of their decorated kite and tagging the mall on Facebook or Instagram with the #KiteArtPromenade.
