Dr. Kre Johnson reports a rise in flu A cases, exceeding other respiratory illnesses like COVID-19 and RSV. She emphasizes the importance of pandemic-era precautions such as frequent handwashing, masking in crowds, and vaccination to combat the spread.
Most of these cases are positive for flu A. Doctors warn that we must start taking more precautions to stay healthy. Dr. Kre Johnson from Brownstone Healthcare and Aesthetics reports an increase in flu patients and other respiratory illnesses, such as COVID-19 and RSV , but flu cases remain the most prevalent.
“There are a lot of flu A cases. There are different strains of the flu, including A and B, and we believe that flu A may be the more dominant and contagious strain,” explains Dr. Johnson. She emphasizes that regardless of the strain of flu, it’s essential to follow the guidelines we used during the pandemic. “We need to be reminded to wash our hands more frequently. Using soap and water is more effective than just using hand sanitizer or rinsing off. Let’s get back to universal precautions,” she adds. “If you’re sick, stay home, and if you’re going to be in large crowds, consider wearing a mask.” Dr. Johnson also suggests that getting vaccinated is another way to combat respiratory illnesses like the flu. She mentions that flu season usually wraps up in March, so we should all do our part to stay safe until then.Reward doubled for tips in critical shooting of child in MontgomeryJackson Hospital holds rally to keep doors openAlabama Medicaid Agency: Medicaid portal now accessible
