MIRAMAR BEACH, Fla. -- The Florida Surgeon General has ordered an emergency license suspension of the doctor who's accused of mistakenly removing a man's liver.

is accused of removing 70-year-old William Bryan's liver at Ascension Sacred Heart Emerald Coast hospital in Miramar Beach on Aug. 21.

A new report from the state Department of Health is 21 pages long. It contains two accounts where Dr. Shaknovsky reportedly misidentified organs. The report says the staff had concerns that Dr. Shaknovsky did not have the skill to safely perform this procedure. The report says the doctor also claimed that due to the shock and chaos of the situation, he was "unable to properly identify the organ he removed," assuming it must be the spleen.The report outlines the differences between the two organs -- from their size to consistency and color.
