A Florida man ran 100 miles to raise money to support New York City run-specialty stores and NYC Health + Hospitals amidst the coronavirus pandemic.

“Medical workers are risking their lives right now,” Kilgore said. “So my coworker at On, Caroline, brought up the idea of supporting running stores in New York City by buying gift cards and donating those to medical workers in the city.”and planned a route that combined nearly every route in his hometown that he ran when he was a kid. Combining single-track trails, country roads, busy roads, and beaches, he was able to map out 100 miles.
and stayed that way most of the day. Though he had support beforehand, he wasn’t expecting the fundraiser to go as viral as it did. As a result, he increased the goal fundraising amount from $5,000 to $10,000, which was also surpassed.He also got a lot of virtual support from around the country during his race, which he said helped him get through the long day.“It was just as I envisioned it going in the best case scenario,” he said.
