A Florida man arrested for slashing his girlfriend's arms with a knife allegedly went back to kill her after he was released on bail, police said.

Warren Brown, 57, has been charged with second-degree murder in the death of 43 year old Sophie Solis, the St. Petersburg Police Department said. Brown was arrested on Saturday after concerned friends found Solis's body in the trunk of Brown's car in the driveway of their home in Organdy Drive in St. Petersburg, Florida. Police said she had been stabbed and that detectives also found photos of the couple as well as bloody clothing in the trunk.reported that Brown had been arrested on November 9 after he allegedly slashed Solis' arms with a knife.

A day later, she signed an affidavit urging authorities not to prosecute Brown and claimed she wasn't afraid of being attacked by him."I am not in fear of violence from the Defendant," Solis said in the affidavit, according toBut around a week later, police say Brown stabbed and killed Solis before placing her body in a Cadillac.
