Leon County Judge Charles Dodson ruled that language was unconstitutional, saying, “The districts have no meaningful alternative,” since it took away the key role of local school systems—deciding how to run schools in the district.of the ruling. Under the state’s guidelines, all school districts in the state of Florida had to reopen brick and mortar buildings by August 31.“The evidence demonstrated that some teachers are being told they must go back into classrooms under extremely unsafe conditions,” Dodson said in his."There is not room in many classrooms for social distancing. There is not room to put desks 4 feet apart, much less 6 feet apart as is recommended.
