Florida Democrat Charlie Crist's campaign chief Austin Durrer arrested for domestic violence
Crist’s longtime aide was also ordered to vacate the residence he owns with his wife and surrender his guns as part of a $10,000 bail package in Dorchester County,Crist’s campaign abruptly announced that Durrer was resigning to address a family issue Thursday but did not allude to the arrest.
Durrer, who began working with the Democratic candidate in 2016, is slated for trial in early December and faces up to 10 years in prison.Fox reported that Durrer was arrested at a residence he owned with his wife, Janet Whisman, Chief Development Officer at the Information Technology and Innovation Foundation.
