The New College of Florida, located in Sarasota, will begin offering 'The Woke Movement' in January.

A Florida college will begin offering a course discussing what it means to be "woke" and "unwoke” in January.

“The project explores the origins, aims, and societal impact of the ‘woke’ movement, especially as it intersects with free speech – a topic at the forefront of cultural and political discussions and probably never more relevant than today,” March said. There is “great uneasiness” about the speed of societal changes caused by “wokeness” as well, the description says.
