Attorney General Ashley Moody's Office has launched an investigation into FEMA. According to Moody's office, after tornadoes and hurricane struck the area of Martin County there were reports that FEMA workers were directed not to go to any homes that had a sign for President-elect Donald Trump.
"It appears that in some places that were hit by natural disasters, homes that had Donald Trump paraphernalia, signs, whatever were passed over and not given the assistance they really deserved," said Martin County Sheriff William Snyder.Snyder says there were around 600 homes in Martin County that were damaged by tornadoes that sprung from Hurricane Milton's outer bands.
"You can tell by the election results, this county voted heavily for Donald Trump. I would suspect that there will be houses out there that were damaged and may have had a yard sign for President Trump, and so those people have to be particularly alert that they did not get passed over," Snyder said.
