Ashley Moody, Florida's attorney general, has endorsed Donald Trump for the 2024 presidential election. Moody, a known Trump supporter, previously worked with Ron DeSantis, who dropped out of the presidential race, but shifted her allegiance back to Trump. She is known for her conservative stances, particularly on issues like abortion, where she sought to block a ballot measure expanding abortion access in Florida.
The 49-year-old has served as Florida’s attorney general since 2019. A Trump loyalist, Moody joined other state attorneys general in signaling their support for a lawsuit filed by Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton requesting that the Supreme Court void the 2020 presidential election results in the swing states of Georgia, Michigan, Wisconsin, and Pennsylvania.
“This matter had absolutely no bearing on my family’s support of our President during the election, and I continue to support him and his agenda in Washington,” Moody“Over the last five years, I’ve worked hand-in-hand and witnessed personally DeSantis’s extraordinary leadership, his integrity and his commitment to not only the state of Florida but our nation,” Moody said at the time of her endorsement.
