At the Summer Sessions gig at Edinburgh's Princes Street Gardens on Thursday night , singer Florence Welch invited the couple, identified as Steph and Jenny, onto the stage, saying that Steph had "a very special request, and I'm fulfilling this request.
Welch handed the mic over to Steph, who got down on one knee for the sweet proposal. "From the moment I met you I was in love," she said to Jenny as the crowd whooped their approval. "I know the future will always be uncertain and difficult, but one thing that I know I want for certain is for us to grow old together and to call you my wife.
