Florence has named a new square Guccio Gucci Piazza to honor the fashion house founder in his hometown. On Thursday, four of Gucci’s great-grandchildren joined the ceremony, along with executives and former employees. The event marked the 145th anniversary of Guccio Gucci’s birth. The piazza looks out on the Ponte Vecchio and the Uffizi Gallery.
