PETALING JAYA: The Kampung Sungai Rambut Village Development and Security Committee (JKPP) in Ayer Hitam will be organising gotong-royong to cook hot meals for flood evacuees from Monday (March 6), says Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong.
The Ayer Hitam MP said that in order to overcome logistics issues in delivering regular hot meals to flood victims seeking shelter at relief centres, the Kg Sg Rambut JKPP had decided to prepare such meals through gotong-royong from Monday.
Dr Wee also took the time to visit the relief centres at SK Seri Bunut, Seri Bandan and SK Seri Manggis on Sunday. "There are another 550 victims from 187 families at the Seri Bandan relief centre. Even the road leading here is flooded with water up to 0.4m," he said in his post.
