JOHOR BARU: The Johor state government has mobilised its volunteering arm, the Southern Volunteers, to help over 1,000 victims at temporary relief centres in flood-hit districts.
Mentri Besar Datuk Onn Hafiz Ghazi said the matter was decreed by Tunku Mahkota Johor Tunku Ismail Ibni Sultan Ibrahim.
Earlier, Onn Hafiz, together with state deputy secretary Datuk On Jabbar, visited and handed out aid to flood victims seeking shelter at Kampung Baru Sungai Mas in Kota Tinggi. "God willing, the state government officers, including state executive councillors, will continue to monitor places that have been flooded.
