High temperatures have stayed in record-cold territory Friday, reaching the upper 50s and stopping short of 60 degrees.
This is unseasonably cool and wet! The weather is being created by an extremely strong upper-level low. It has packed in far higher amounts of moisture than average for the time of year, along with temperatures 10 to 15 degrees below average.
Friday night, a flood advisory was issued in the North Cascades. The advisory will continue through Saturday to 4 p.m. The Easy Fire burn scar has been flooding with water, and debris has been reported on Highway 20. The rain will continue steadily as it wraps around low-pressure tracking into Oregon. Once the low slides through eastern Washington and then into Canada on Saturday afternoon, the steady rain will break up into scattered showers, signaling a gradual end to the rain.
