Flights at Leeds Bradford Airport have been severely disrupted after its runway was closed for emergency repairs.Leeds Bradford Airport said the runway was expected to remain shut until at least 7pm today, and check-in will shut until 5pm.
It added the works are not being carried out “due to an incident” and that they involve a minor repair to the runway surface that need to be carried out “immediately”. The airport told passengers due to travel from terminals one and two on Sunday “not to come to the airport until further notice and to contact their airlines”.
