Three flight attendants from Eastar Jet in South Korea were caught opening an emergency exit and posing for photos on the wing of a Boeing 737. The incident occurred during a delay at Cheongju International Airport, which is a military facility with strict photography regulations.

An airline is investigating several flight attendants after they were caught opening an emergency exit and posing for photos on a plane's wing. The incident happened last Wednesday at Cheongju International Airport in South Korea while Eastar Jet Flight 703 was delayed on the tarmac. Photos taken from a distance show three flight attendants in uniform climbing onto the left wing of the Boeing 737 for an impromptu photoshoot.

Eastar Jet, headquartered in Seoul, said the crew was instructed to open the emergency door as part of a training exercise that took place during the hourlong delay. 'The airline took advantage of the waiting time caused by heavy snow and conducted an emergency exit training that is normally difficult to carry out,' a spokesperson said. However, the incident has sparked controversy because Cheongju Airport is designated as a military facility, making photography and videography strictly prohibited. Offenders can face up to three years in prison or fines of up to 30 million Korean Won (approximately $20,000) according to local media. The airline has not publicly commented on the potential consequences for the involved flight attendants. This incident follows a string of similar cases involving airline staff engaging in reckless or inappropriate behavior. In recent years, there have been reports of flight attendants drinking alcohol on duty, fighting with passengers, and even using emergency equipment for non-essential purposes. These incidents highlight the need for airlines to reinforce safety protocols and ensure that their employees are adhering to professional standards
