BACOLOD CITY – A fleet of electric jeepneys was launched here on Tuesday, October 8.
ELECTRIC jeepneys are expected to augment public transportation in Bacolod City during the MassKara Festival this month.
The cooperative purchased a total of 10 e-jeepneys. An initial five units was released during the launching and these will serve the Fortune Town-Central Market and vice versa route. The eco-friendly vehicle which costs P2.4 million each can accommodate 21 persons. It is equipped with an air-conditioner with four speakers, a radio, a four-way closed circuit television camera , and a global positioning system .
