A Philadelphia man was sentenced Tuesday to a minimum of 22 months in state prison for his role
Clover and Hall were driving during the initial stop. Attempts to reach Clover’s attorney in the federal case were not successful for this report. Markley began tailing the car and stopped it after he said that he saw the driver tailgating another vehicle in front of it. As Markley’s attention turned to trying to get Clover back out of the car, police said, Hall worked his way back to Markley’s squad car and jumped into the driver’s seat. As Markley ran to the passenger side of the squad car as Hall pulled away, Clover escaped on foot, to be picked up by Hall seconds later.
