Flames engulf Bonsall home; no injuries reported [Breaking]
A fire ripped through a home late Thursday in Bonsall, sending thick black smoke spewing into the night sky as fire crews battled and eventually knocked down the flames, authorities said.
No injuries were reported as the home’s residents were able to evacuate before firefighters arrived, North County Fire Protection District spokesperson Capt. John Choi said. No firefighters were injured while battling the blaze. The fire was reported about 10:40 p.m. at a two-story home on Paso Del Lagos, a rural street about a mile north of North River Road and northwest of state Route 76.
Flames tore through a home Thursday night in Bonsall, but no injuries were reported. Firefighters from the North County Fire Protection District, with help from Oceanside and Vista crews, battled the blaze. “When the first unites arrived, the fire was blowing from all sides and both the first and second floors,” Choi said, adding that crews took up defensive positions battling the flames from outside only, because it was “unsafe to make entry.”The fire was contained to the home and did not spread to nearby vegetation, Choi said.
