DAVID MUNDEE The Northside Methodist flag football team finished the regular season by splitting matches against Booker T. Washington and Emmanuel Christian at Rip Hewes Stadium on Tuesday night.Northside Methodist, which hosts a first-round state playoff game next week, is now 9-11 on the season.
Sydney Warren had a 35-yard reception for a touchdown plus an 11-yard TD run. Alyssa Turner had a 61-yard touchdown reception plus a 30-yard punt return for a touchdown. Emmie Haywood added a 35-yard punt return for a touchdown. Northside Methodist led 35-6 at the half after a 33-yard Bull to Freeman touchdown pass, a 21-yard Freeman to Bull scoring pass, a 9-yard Freeman to Bull TD pass, a 61-yard Freeman to Turner TD strike and a Warren 11-yard TD run.
