Five people were left injured Friday night when someone opened fire in the 1600 block of West Howard Street, Chicago police said.
According to police, about 11:40 p.m., an argument ensued between a group standing on the sidewalk and unknown offenders who approached them in two vehicles. During the altercation, the alleged offenders from inside each of the vehicles opened fire striking five people.The first victim, a 37-year-old male, suffered a gunshot wound to his left arm. The second victim, a 29-year-old man, was shot to the right hip. A third victim, a 29-year-old man suffered a gunshot wound to the left leg.
The fifth victim, a 36-year old man, suffered a graze wound to the head and refused medical attention at the scene.All of the victims were taken to Amita Health St. Francis Hospital in Evanston and listed in good condition.
