Five Thai hostages who were held captive by Hamas for 15 months have returned to Bangkok following their release last month as part of a prisoner exchange deal between Israel and Hamas. The group was met by family members and dignitaries upon arrival.

Five Thai hostages, who endured 15 months of captivity by Hamas , arrived in Bangkok early Sunday after their release last month. The group, comprising Sarusak Rumnao, 32, Watchara Sriaoun, 33, Sathian Suwannakham, 35, Pongsak Thaenna, 36, and Bannawat Saethao, 27, were freed as part of the hostage-prisoners exchange agreement Israel negotiated with Hamas .

They were greeted at Suvarnabhumi Airport by family members, Thailand's Foreign Minister Maris Sagniampongsa, and the Israeli ambassador to Thailand, Orna Sagiv, before traveling to their homes in northern and northeastern Thailand.
