The Williamson County Sheriff's office continues to investigate an incident involving a teenager who was shot and kidnapped by five suspects in Leander earlier this month.

Williamson County officers responded to a 9-1-1 call on July 3rd, reporting a 17-year-old male and taken to a local Williamson County hospital. The victim had non-life threatening injuries and was released by the hospital. Detectives from the criminal investigations division spoke with the victim. The victim said he was lured to a residence in the Summerlyn Subdivision, located outside the city limits of Leander. Upon arrival at the residence, several adults attacked and beat the victim. Subsequently, the victim was forcibly taken to a secluded area outside Leander's city limits, where he was shot and abandoned by the suspects.

During the investigation, the officers identified the shooter as 19-year-old Matthew Sabedra of Georgetown and arrested him on July 11, 2024. Officers also identified four more people of interest in this case and took them in custody over the weekend. They are all charged with aggravated kidnapping and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. All suspects are currently in the Williamson County jail with different bond charges.19-year-old Tobias Rogers of Liberty Hill, with a Combined bond of five hundred thousand dollars.36-year-old Danyelle Marsh of Round Rock, it is currently awaiting bond determination.
