Five Nights at Freddy's director Emma Tammi says she'd like to do more with the franchise if the first movie succeeds.
, Five Nights at Freddy’s is currently projected to make between $33-42 million during its opening weekend at the domestic box office. Given that the film will likely make its budget back in relatively quick fashion, along with the fact that there’s plenty of source material to pull from, a sequel could easily happen, though this has not yet been confirmed at this time.
Speaking further about Josh Hutcherson’s role in the film, Tammi said, “We went through an intensive process for this role, because he really anchors the whole film. I talked to Josh early on and we just kept coming back to him. He had such a grasp for the character and gave Mike a real lived-in feeling, which was what the character needed. I’m excited for people to see Josh in a slightly new light.
