The left-back was an integral part of Farke’s side last season playing 29 matches with eight assists. However, he fell out of favour the following season with Rodrigo and Luis Sinisterra the first choice in his position. This led to a loan spell at Sunderland where he made 20 appearances registering three goals and three assists.
