: the Oscar-nominated Bhutanese feature is just one of many critically-acclaimed features at this year's Indie Meme Film Festivalin American cinemas, it seems like more people are waking up to the idea that there's more to South Asian cinema than Bollywood - but then, Austin's Indie Meme Film Festival has been proving that for years, and will be welcoming audiences to a continent's worth of films with this year's programming.
The in-person festival kicks off tonight, April 14, and runs through Sunday, April 17, with badges at $65 for members and $85 for non-members via. There are also individual tickets available, but if you’re not able to make any of those face-to-face events, then don’t despair! The celebration of South Asian cinema goes online next week, April 22-24, and here are five of the films you truly won't want to miss.
