People could get nearly £800 in one-off payments across five schemes this winter
The Department for Work and Pensions has released a list of five one-off payments to be given out before the holiday period. Eligible people could get up to £785 in their bank accounts.
Eligible people will get a letter this month saying how much money they will get, as well as an estimated payment date. Depending on circumstances and living arrangements, people can get between £100 and £300. Cold Weather Payment - £25 People living in areas with an average temperature recorded as, or forecast to be, zero degrees Celsius or below over seven consecutive days will receive this payment. You’ll get £25 for each seven-day period of very cold weather between November 1 and March 31.
