Five individuals have been arrested and charged with second-degree murder in connection with the death of Sam Nordquist, a 24-year-old transgender man who was reported missing in February. Authorities say Nordquist was subjected to repeated acts of violence and torture for over a month before his body was discarded in a field. Police are calling the case “beyond depraved” and “by far the worst” homicide investigation they’ve ever been involved in.
