It was supposed to be a normal day of fishing on the water for five men on Sunday morning.
But for these men, it was more in store than they could imagine. They were stranded on top of a capsized boat just 11 miles off the shore of Mayport .PREVIOUS STORY |“I started to realize where the motor is at in the back of the boat is like something is not right,” Mohammad El Itani said. “So, I told my son-in-law to get a bucket, get ready. Despite everything going wrong around them, the men described their emotions as “calm and collected.” “Like for me, it’s my first time ever going fishing. Let alone go deep sea. It’s a first time for him,” the men said. They encouraged other boaters to check their safety equipment before going out on the water and ensure to have life vests on board.“I mean with a life vest the whole time probably.
