A 32-year-old man suffered from a medical event and drowned Tuesday while fishing in the Conewago Creek, the York County Coroner’s Office said. Dustin Snook, of Dover Township, was found dead around 7:20 p.m. off the 4200 block of Conewago Road, just blocks from where Snook lived, according to Coroner Pamela Gay.
Gay said the apparent medical event caused Snook to fall into the water and become unresponsive. The coroner’s office did not say what kind of medical event may have occurred. Snook’s death was ruled accidental. An autopsy will not be performed, but Gay said routine toxicology tests will be completed.The drowning was York County’s second in less than a week.
