What a difference in tone a game week can make — especially when you’re already on the ropes from failing to meet expectations five years in at A&M. The scene at this week’s A&M news conference to preview the Alabama game was reminiscent of a kid in a scary movie scrunching his eyes in hopes of making it all go away.
Fisher spent nearly 10 minutes trashing the game’s most iconic figure, one who’s won more major national college football titles than any coach in history; a vengeful man who’s known to quietly make things quite personal — especially when the other side first personalized the goings-on. “When we play Texas A&M,” Alabama All-America linebacker Will Anderson said this summer, “everything will be addressed then.”
