Bafana Bafana legend Mark Fish has suggested that the national team missed an opportunity to build momentum with the COSAFA Cup ahead of next year's AFCON. Read more:
Bafana did not select their full strength squad for the annual regional tournament, choosing players who are not even regulars at their respective clubs. The national team also brought in a different coach, in Morena Ramoreboli, who, however, won the tournament in 2021 when standing in for Helman Mkhalele.
