Staff at call centre company Firstsource Solutions in Northern Ireland are warned their jobs are at risk
It is feared that up to 500 jobs could be at risk at the firm Firstsource, affecting its Belfast and Londonderry call centres as well as remote workers.
She added: "Staff impacted have been informed today and, as a responsible employer, we are working closely to support them throughout this process."It is understood that the company hopes to be able to redeploy staff and win new contracts to keep job losses as low as possible.SDLP leader Colum Eastwood said he had been in contact with a number of staff at the Derry site.
"I have contacted the management of Firstsource requesting an urgent meeting to discuss their plans and their continued commitment to workers in Derry," the Foyle MP added.
