The first trailer for Assassin's Creed Shadows has been released, but it shows no gameplay while asking for pre-orders.
Remember some years ago when Ubisoft said it was opposed to making an Assassin's Creed game set in Japan? The time has come for the company to walk back on that claim, as the publisher has just released the trailer for the next game in the series. It's called Assassin's Creed Shadows, recently renamed from Red, so a very cliche name for a setting the company had at one point said would be 'boring'.
The trailer, as well as an accompanying video describing the two protagonists. In Assassin's Creed Shadows, the trailer shows what looks like two playable characters. One is Yasuke, famed African man who served Oda Nobunaga during the warring states period, depicted as a samurai. The other, Naoe, a fictional character shown as a shinobi hailing from the Iga province.
