First Minister Michelle O'Neill has confirmed that Sinn Féin's former HR manager, who failed to inform the party leadership that references had been provided for convicted paedophile Michael McMonagle, remains a party member.

Meanwhile this evening, Sinn Féin president Mary Lou McDonald broke her silence on the issue to announce a "complete overhaul" of the party's governance structures in the wake of the scandal.
