Dallas’ Validus Development Corp. plans to build a 29-story residential tower near Dallas' Turtle Creek.
Oak Lawn residents are getting a first look at a new high-rise residential building planned for theThe tower proposed by Dallas’ Validus Development Corp. would include 104 luxury residential units in 29 stories. Developers presented plans for the project – located at Hood and Brown streets near Fairmount – at this week’s Oak Lawn Committee meeting.
Units in the tower would average more than 2,200 square feet, with only four residences per floor. Parking would be in an underground garage, and a second-floor amenity area would include a swimming pool. Dallas architect GFF designed the project, which developers say will cost between $90 million and $100 million.Developer Validus – headed by businessman Luis Gonzalez – is seeking zoning approvals for extra density needed to accommodate the high-rise. It would be constructed on a vacant property that had a large single-family home and other buildings., which opened in 2021. Two more residential towers are across Hood Street on the adjoining block.
