Full Goods Diner held an invitation-only trial run Tuesday ahead of its public opening tomorrow, and the restaurant was chock-full of customers chowing down on pastries, sandwiches, enchiladas and more.

Full Goods Diner is the product of a partnership between Austin’s beloved Paperboy diner and San Antonio’s Potluck Hospitality, which develops and manages restaurants at the Pearl. Owner Ryan Harms, who started Paperboy as an Austin food truck in 2015, is a San Antonio native, and Full Goods Diner marks his homecoming.
Full Goods Diner occupies the space formerly housing Green Vegetarian Cuisine, which is now located at the Alamo Quarry Market shopping center. And the new occupant has given that building a barely recognizable makeover. The south-facing wall has been opened up with a bank of towering windows that allows sunlight to stream through the entire space. Tables have been replaced with a row of colorful red and white pinstriped banquets. The patio now sports a black and white checkered tile floor decked out with intimate tables instead of the previous picnic-style benches.
