Bailey's lawsuit, which frames the request to the Supreme Court as a dispute between two states, contends that the gag order imposed by Merchan limited Trump's stump speeches. The gag order was partially lifted at the end of Trump's trial. He's now free to assail trial witnesses — including his ex-lawyer Michael Cohen and porn star Stormy Daniels — but remains barred from attacking others.
