You can find the best of the UK's pre-loved fashion which has been carefully curated by multiple charities
The UK’s first ever multi-charity pre-loved fashion store has opened its doors in Greater Manchester, and you can find a tonne of hidden gems inside including trendy Nike Air Max and a designer handbag from Balenciaga for just £10. Ahead of the pop-up shop’s first full day on Friday, today’s special preview gave an insight for those eager to get their hands on the most stylish second-hand garments.
Staffed by volunteers and workers inspired by ethical and sustainable shopping, the retailer will be open for six weeks at Quayside Shopping Centre. Inside this one-of-a-kind charity supermarket, there's something for everyone including vintage football tops to on trend winter coats - all coming in at a bargain price.
Its arrival comes after the success of the first Charity Super.Mkt which opened in the old Topshop in Brent Cross shopping centre in London in January 2023. It was so popular that it hit its four-week target in just four days, raising funds for both local and national charities. With all the proceeds going to charity, co-founders Maria Chenoweth, CEO of sustainable clothing charity TRAID and Wayne Hemingway MBE, of HemingwayDesign and co-founder of British fashion brand Red or Dead have raised over £1.2m in the 9 month period that they've been up and running.
